Join us for an engaging conversation with Jason Bussman, author of Fumble: A Memoir / Just a Dad trying Not to Drop the Ball. Fumble is a collection of 21 standalone narrative essays and one poem about imperfect “dad” moments. The informal, anecdotal approach offers guidance, sensitivity, and honesty about those times when parents dropped the ball. Each short narrative offers a different perspective for reflection and allows the reader to find a piece of themselves or their loved ones in the work to connect to the stories. This collection celebrates the imperfections of our fathers.
About Bio:
Jason earned his MFA in Creative and Professional Writing from Western Connecticut State University, where he focused on memoir. He teaches writing courses at two universities in the Western New York area as an adjunct. In addition, he slings drinks at a local brewery. Above all else, though, he is a husband and a father who spends his free time with his children building LEGOs, playing Zelda, watching My Little Pony, and being a complete goofball. Sometimes, he even gets to take his wife on a date, where they can hear each other talk in complete sentences.
